The Mixed Media Card Challenge #31 {Change}

Welcome to our first and last challenge for 2017 here on The Mixed Media Card Challenge blog. After 2 1/2 years, it's time to say goodbye. Many mixed media challenge blogs have sprouted since MMCC started mid-2014 and it makes me glad to see so many crafters incorporate mixed media in their cards. On behalf of the MMCC design team, I'd like to thank you all for playing in our monthly challenges.

Our final challenge theme is quite apropos: CHANGE. The optional element is waterWe hope you'll have a go at creating a mixed media card showing how you interpret the theme with or without the optional element. 



HOW TO PLAY
1. Create a mixed media CARD based on the theme, with or without the optional element.
2. Display the challenge graphic on your blog post and link back to this challenge post.
3. You may enter as many times as you want, as long as each entry is different.
4. You may combine a maximum of 7 challenges (6 other challenges plus ours).
5. Submit your projects by January 25, 11:55 p.m. Pacific  time.

The Mixed Media Card Challenge #30 {Gold}

Welcome to a brand new challenge here at The Mixed Media Card Challenge! For our challenge this month, the theme is GOLD, and optional element: star. We hope you'll have a go at creating a mixed media card that follows the theme with or without the optional element. The team can't wait to see what beauties you'll be linking up!

The Mixed Media Card Challenge #29 {Thanksgiving}

Welcome to a brand new challenge here at The Mixed Media Card Challenge! For our challenge this month, the theme is THANKSGIVING, and optional element: table. Your mixed media card can be all about Thanksgiving or it can be one that expresses gratitude, thankfulness, gratefulness. We hope you'll have a go at creating a mixed media card that follows the theme with or without the optional element. The Mixed Media Card Challenge #28 {Black and Purple}

Welcome to a brand new challenge here at The Mixed Media Card Challenge! For our challenge this month, the theme is BLACK AND PURPLE, and optional element: twine. The theme's pretty easy, right? Create a mixed media card with just those two colors OR you can use those two colors together with other colors! We hope you'll have a go at creating a mixed media card that follows the theme with or without twine. The team can't wait to see what beauties you'll be linking up!

The Mixed Media Card Challenge #27 {Harvest Basket}

Welcome to a brand new challenge here at The Mixed Media Card Challenge! For our challenge this month, the theme is HARVEST BASKET, and optional element: FRUIT. Work with however you interpret the theme: feature a basket in your card, use colors reminiscent of autumn/fall, include things that you would put in your own basket, and so on. We hope you'll have a go at creating a mixed media card that follows the theme with or without fruit. The team can't wait to see what beauties you'll be linking up!

The Mixed Media Card Challenge #26 {Rainbow}

Welcome to a brand new challenge here at The Mixed Media Card Challenge! For our challenge this month, the theme is RAINBOW, and optional element: DRAGONFLIES. Work with however you interpret the theme: add a rainbow, use all or some of the colors of the rainbow, include the word "rainbow" or use a sentiment about rainbows... We hope you'll have a go at creating a mixed media card that follows the theme with or without dragonflies. The team can't wait to see what beauties you'll be linking up!

White cardstock base, faux watercolor background (Glimmer Mist), die cut rainbow, clouds and sun, Glimmer Misted rainbow rays, silk microfine glitter sun and clouds. Hand drawn dragonflies, a stamped and fussy cut sentiment.

On a piece of watercolor paper, i used Vivid (new paint from ColourArte) with a palette knife. I choose the rainbow colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and purple) and then i made some splatters with Twinkling H2Os. With the same Twinklings i add colors on a paper and cut these little dragonflies (Magnolia Die).

Inked background splashed with water. Rainbow colored with watercolor pencils. Background white washed with white acrylic paint. Stamped face colored with markers, hair hand drawn, decorated with paint and gel pens, and fussy cut. Quote text heat embossed.

Smooshed and spritzed Distress Inks, iridescent texture paste and stamping on background. Diecut/dry-embossed dragonfly dipped into Distress Inks and painted with Wink of Stella.

Clear gesso, Gelatos on card base; acrylic paints, stamps, and Gelli plate for the die-cut stitched panel; sentiment die-cut from monoprint.
